This listing is for a lovely Black, Starr & Frost New York Sterling Silver 3-piece demitasse coffee set. This is a matching design to Gorham’s Plymouth pattern made in the 1970’s. The design features a tall slender shape with fluted design around middle of coffee and on both the creamer and sugar and each piece sits on an oval stepped pedestal base. The coffee pot has an ebony wood handle and tall finial on the top of lid. The creamer and sugar basket also have an uneven scalloped upper edge and ribbed handles.
Each piece has a fancy 3-letter engraved monogram “K L B”. The hinged lid has a tight hinge with the lid opening and closing correctly. The coffee pot is marked on the base with the trademark stamp of Black, Starr & Frost and “Sterling, B 102, 1 Pint” with the name of retailers Shreve, Crump & Low of Boston MA and the creamer is marked 1/4 Pints.
Set consists of:
(1)  Demitasse Pot – Measures 11″ high and 8 1/4″ wide. Weighs 435 grams.
(2)
Creamer – Measures 5″ high (at handle), 4 1/4″ long and 2 3/8″ wide. Weighs 120 grams.
(3)  Sugar Basket – Measures 3 1/4″ high (not including handle), 5 1/2″ (including swing handle), 5 1/8″ long and 3 1/2″ wide. Weighs 150 grams.
Combined weight is 705 grams.
This set is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear.
